Dr. Vivek Belathur, is a Medical Oncologist working in the field of Oncology since 2009 and has about 11 years of experience in the field. He is an alumnus of prestigious institutes like Mysore medical college (MBBS), Bangalore medical college (MD) and Kidwai memorial institute of Oncology (DM).After completing his MD he worked in Cancer Institute (WIA) (also known as Adyar Cancer Institute) which is a non-profit cancer treatment and research centre based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He then proceeded to do his DM in Oncology and worked in leading hospitals like HCG and BGS hospital for a couple of years and then went to Tweed heads hospital, NSW Australia to gain insights and fresh perspectives in the ever advancing field of Oncology. He also holds a certification by the European society of Medical oncology (ESMO) and a degree in palliative care medicine (BCCPM).

Dr.Belathur, has been the principal and coinvestigator of more than 8 clinical trials, which help in discovering and evaluating new drugs for various cancers .In his vast and varied experience Dr.Belathur has handled both solid tumour and hematological malignancies and has given chemotherapies, immunotherapies, performed bone marrow biopsies and other procedures as required in providing complete care to the patient. Dr.Belathur is an academician with several publications to his credit and regularly attends national and international conferences to keep himself updated. He is a active member of various Oncology associations. He envisions to make cancer screening and early prevention a reality and is actively working towards it. He hopes to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families by providing quality and meaningful care and lessen the fear and trauma a diagnosis of cancer brings with it.
